Elves, and Coybows, and CHinese, oh my!

So I decided to show everyone the cover artwork for Multiversal, as well as talk about what has been finished and go over what is in the works prior to release.

What has been finished

At this point, all the mechanics development and writing are done. That means that how the game works, how characters are created and developed, what equipment can be chosen or created, basic NPC's that can be interacted with, vehicles to pilot or fly, followers to recruit, etc. have all been written down, revised (over and over), balanced for combat and other skills, and given descriptive text. In other words, what is complete: Dice Mechanic Combat Mechanic Encounter creation mechanics Travel mechanics Character Creation Character Development NPCs

Difficulty ratings and Dice Checks Book layout and formatting Tables and charts Chapter divisions Character sheet NPC sheet (for followers, pets, etc) Vehicle Sheet

and more, I'm sure. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can truly create an exhaustive list of what has been finished. What is in the works What I'm working on now includes polishing (making sure that the descriptive text especially flows well and the main text is clear and concise), adding space for illustrations, finishing illustrations, and writing fluff text. I have also been playing with the idea recently of developing a unique setting specifically for use with Multiversal, in addition to it's basic open-setting rule-set. So, what remains to be done is: editing

Setting (possible) I will continue to keep everyone up-to-date as progress is made on each of these stages, as well as one more thing. Since most of the remaining work is aesthetic or setting design, I am also planning to release a Multiversal Light in a month or two to give players a preview of what will be available in the Full game Manual. It will include Basic Character Creation and development A selection of Talents and Skills A selection of NPCs and animals A selection of equipment, weapons, vehicles, etc. It will NOT inlcude

Unlimited Character Creation and development A FULL list of Talents and Skills ALL NPCs and Animals ALL equipment, weapons, vehicles, etc. Rules for customization and creation of unique elements. All artwork from the full Game Manual (Much of which will still be in development) A unique setting (Which will still be in development if it is included.) One important note is that while I would like to include a unique setting with the release of Multiversal, it is not necessary to the game and so I may develop it and release it at a later date as a supplement if there is not enough time. I am shooting for a release prior to Christmas 2018, after all.
